RACE RULES

 

Please no cutting switchbacks - if you are caught cutting switchbacks you will be DQ'd

 

Please do not litter- These trails and mountains are home to many

     animals and enjoyed by many people if you are caught littering you will be DQ'd

 

Crewing from vehicles- no crewing is allow from a moving vehicle.

 

Respect voluteers-This is a big one for us..

     Please respect the volunteers and the decisions that are made on the course..

     If they feel like there is a reason you should not continue..You wont..

     The Medical Team and volunteers decisions are final! They are helping out of the kindness of

     the their hearts. If you are upset about something please tell the RD after the race,

     but please treat the Medical/Volunteers with kindness, patience and respect.

     Any rude or disrespectful behavor to a Voluneer will result in a DQ and you

     WILL be asked not to return to any Hideaway Running Events.

 

No Unsportsmanlike conduct- We are all in it together, so please help eachother out..

     We are a family, sharing in a wonderful adventure. The struggle is the same no matter who we are.

 

Getting lost -  Getting lost is an unfortunate part of the sport but it happens to all of us at some

     point or another.. The course will be heavily marked with trail tape, pin flags, arrows and chalk

     (negative markers will be used to signify wrong way)... If for any reason you get lost, you must

     return to the place where you were lost from. If you do not retrace you steps and complete the official course you will not be        considered a official finisher..

 

Photography- Only Official race photographers are allowed on the course. This is for runners safety and enjoyment. Anyone is allowed to shoot from the aid stations..But only official photographers on the course. Please contact the Race Director for more info or credentials.

Respect Nature- The Araphoe National forest is home to many animals,

     such as Moose, Deer, Elk, Porcupine, Bears, Mountain Lion, and many other animals.

     Please.. This is their home and they are letting us use it, so show them the same

     respect you would in anyone elses home. If there are large animals on trail please let aid station

     personnel know.Please keep your distance from these animals and enjoy the beauty of the forest.
